THE CHAMP

Over time less newspapers printed the daily INCREDIBLE HULK. Other series were more in common and if Marvel, than it would be mostly SPIDER-MAN or STAR WARS. Also there were more classic funnies and not as much adventure. So our green skinned hero had to compete with B.C., THE PANTOM, TARZAN or even BUGS BUNNY. Maybe that's why there are very few traces of the 10th HULK story "The Champ" on the net. The story was released in the hard to find 5th HULK pocket book by Tempo books. But as always cut, rearranged with missing parts or text. Also the daily strips (without Sundays) had been reprinted in Serbia (ex-Yugoslavia) but stopped in the middle of the story at September 10th 1980. There were alterations, too. Like every text balloon, bubble or text box would have been made bigger to fit the yugoslavian text. However, here are the first 55 strips (Sundays as three single strips) not cleaned yet, but restored and put together from the different available sources.
